Job Description
Seeking a maintenance career, join the Army National Guard as a Utilities Equipment Repairer and help keep operations running smoothly on and off the battlefield.
Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and repair utilities equipment and special‑purpose support systems. This includes maintaining, testing, and repairing electric motors; inspecting and repairing electrical equipment and instruments; replacing worn gaskets and sealing watertight electrical equipment; and maintaining gasoline engine systems, air conditioner electrical systems, and portable heater fuel/electrical systems.
Job Duties- Inspect and repair air conditioner electrical systems
- Inspect and repair air conditioner vapor systems
- Inspect and repair refrigeration unit electrical systems
- Inspect and repair portable heater fuel/electrical systems
- Inspect and repair fire extinguisher recharging systems and fire extinguishers/valves
Instead of paying to learn these skills, get paid to train. In the Army National Guard, you will learn these valuable job skills while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance. Training consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training and 13 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, including classroom and field practice.
