Freddy's Glass, a leader in the glass installation industry based in Waco, Texas, is currently seeking to hire a skilled Glass Glazier to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of glass types in residential, commercial, and automobile settings, providing a challenging and rewarding environment for a skilled professional. This is a Full‑Time role, requiring hands‑on involvement in on‑site projects.

Please note that this is Not a Remote Job; candidates will be expected to work on location at our facilities and various project sites in and around Waco.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Measure, install, and remove glass in residential, commercial, and automobile applications.
  • Select, cut, install, replace, and remove residential, commercial, and automotive glass.
  • Fabricate and install frames for glass installation in various settings.
  • Apply adhesives, sealants, and caulks during the installation of glass.
  • Use specialized tools such as glass cutters, suction cups, pliers, and grinders.
  • Collaborate with clients to design and implement custom glassworks according to specified requirements.
  • Follow blueprints, specifications, and diagrams to accurately place and secure glass.
  • Maintain and repair existing glass installations, assessing and addressing potential risks and damages.
  • Comply with all safety protocols, ensuring a safe environment for both personnel and clients.
  • Drive company vehicles to transport materials and team members to various job sites as needed.
  • Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard of quality, maintaining Freddy's Glass’s reputation for excellence.
  • Keep record of work performed and materials used, contributing to project documentation.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of installation tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Offer consultation and advice to customers on the most suitable glass options according to their needs.
  • Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions to enhance job performance and personal skills.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Glass Glazier with at least 2 years of hands‑on experience in residential, commercial, and auto glass installations.
  • Knowledge in handling, cutting, installing and removing different types of glass.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and manage physical demands of the job including standing, bending, lifting, and maneuvering large pieces of glass.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; professional certification or apprenticeship in glass installation or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in handling delicate materials.
  • Excellent customer service skills, ready to interact effectively with clients and address their needs.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel to various work sites.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, able to identify issues and implement effective solutions quickly.
  • Safety‑conscious with knowledge of first‑aid procedures and workplace safety regulations.
  • Good communication skills, capable of working as part of a team and individually.
  • Flexibility in work hours, including availability for overtime and weekend work when necessary.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training in the latest glass installation techniques and technologies.
