Service Technician Intern
The Service Technician Intern is designed for students currently enrolled in a diesel technology, heavy equipment, automotive technology, or industrial maintenance program. Interns gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced Service Technicians while applying classroom knowledge in a real-world environment. This internship is intended to develop future Service Apprentices and full-time Service Technicians at Time Manufacturing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist Service Technicians with preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
- Learn basic hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Perform shop organization, cleaning, and tool maintenance.
- Assist with equipment setup, washing, and detailing.
- Support parts inventory, staging, and material movement.
- Complete assigned safety and technical training.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and work orders.
- Participate in mentoring and development activities.
Qualifications include:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited technical college or community college pursuing a degree or certificate in:
Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Automotive Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics or related field. - Minimum GPA of 2.5 (optional)
- Ability to work full-time during the summer and part-time during school breaks (if applicable)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment
Preferred qualifications include:
- Completion of first year of technical program
- Basic hydraulic, electrical, or welding coursework
- Experience using hand and power tools
- OSHA 10 certification
Learning objectives include:
