Job SummaryThe applicant will have the knowledge, skills and ability to successfully operate the fiber drop plow, bore under driveways, use utility locating equipment, hand dig utility potholes, install vaults, landscaping restoration, and communicate with customers on drop and equipment placement.
Essential Functions- Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Responsible for company provided vehicle, tools, equipment, and supplies
- Installing conduit path under driveways and sidewalks for fiber drops
- Landscaping restoration
- Customer facing
- Clean up work area after installations
- Take pictures of work completed/ installation
- Record any damage to customer property during installation
- Other duties as assigned
- Willing to follow directions and completing tasks delegated by leadership
- Ability to lift/pull heavy equipment
- Good organization skills and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
- Comfortable working outdoors in a team environment
- Must pass a drug screening test and a criminal background check
- Must have a valid driver's license with a safe/acceptable driving record in compliance with company policy
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Experience with basic hand tools
Field Operations:
Installation – Fiber Non-Exempt
- Working in outdoor elements such as cold, hot, precipitation and wind
- In proximity of heavy machinery and moving vehicles
- Moderate noise level
- Use of PPE
- Working on elevated structures such as roofs, attics, and on ladders
- High level of interaction with external/internal clients
- Frequently moving, transporting, positioning objects of at least 75 pounds or more
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, ramps, poles, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms
- Must be able to climb roof tops of all types and perform job duties from high places.
- Must be able to work in small areas such as customer attics
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, sit, and climb ladders and communication towers and work in an elevated position
- Frequently required to use hand and power tools
Full Time Min 40 hours, flexible schedule Overtime as needed
Travel Requirements0-30% travel required
