Traveling Electrical Crew Lead (Journeyman/Master Electrician)
Raven Volt is seeking an experienced Traveling Electrical Crew Lead to support and lead the installation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), generators, transformers, switch gear, and associated electrical infrastructure throughout the United States. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced Journeyman/Master Electrician who enjoys travel, takes pride in quality workmanship, and thrives in fast-paced construction environments. The ideal candidate possesses strong electrical construction experience and the ability to safely lead crews while delivering projects on schedule.

Position Overview
As a Traveling Electrical Crew Lead, you will oversee and participate in all phases of BESS and generator installations, including civil construction, equipment setting, conduit installation, cable pulling, electrical terminations, testing, and commissioning support.
Required Qualifications- Active Journeyman Electrician License in any U.S. state
- Minimum 3 years of commercial, industrial, power generation, or utility electrical experience
- Prior field leadership experience leading crews
- Ability to read electrical plans, blueprints, and one-line diagrams
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull construction materials and equipment
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to travel nationwide
- Valid driver's license
- Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) experience
- Generator installation experience
- Medium-voltage installation and termination experience
- Experience operating telehandlers, skid steers, mini excavators, or similar equipment
- Experience with concrete work, form building, and equipment foundation installation
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Crew Leadership
- Lead, train, and mentor installation crews
- Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities
- Coordinate daily work activities to maintain project schedules
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and project specifications
- Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and Superintendents.
- Site Preparation & Civil Construction
- Build forms and prepare equipment foundations
- Install aggregate sub-bases and assist with concrete placement and finishing
- Excavate trenches for conduit and underground electrical systems
- Backfill and compact trenches according to project requirements
- Equipment Installation
- Set generators, BESS enclosures, transformers, switch gear, and related equipment
- Assist with equipment alignment, anchoring, and final placement
- Install conduit systems, cable tray, grounding systems, and associated infrastructure
- Electrical Installation
- Pull and terminate power and control cables ranging from #6 AWG through 1000 MCM
- Complete electrical terminations in generators, switch gear, transformers, and BESS equipment
- Install and terminate medium-voltage cable systems
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and construction plans
- Support startup, commissioning, and testing activities
- Safety & Compliance
- Follow all OSHA, company, and customer safety requirements
- Conduct daily jobsite safety meetings and hazard assessments
- Ensure proper use of PPE, tools, and equipment
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites

Location & Travel
This position is based out of our Waco, Texas office, with project assignments throughout the United States. Depending on project requirements and employee location, team members may be required to report to a regional office at the start of each work week prior to deployment.
