Crouch Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Electromechanical Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing operation in the Waco area. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining integrated mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated production systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong industrial maintenance experience and the ability to determine whether an equipment failure is mechanical, electrical, or controls-related. This position will support automated production machinery, CNC equipment, robotic systems, motor controls, sensors, variable-frequency drives, and other critical manufacturing equipment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial production machinery, automated systems, and facility-support equipment.
- Diagnose and repair equipment failures involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot integrated equipment problems involving multiple systems rather than treating electrical and mechanical issues separately.
- Maintain and repair automated production machinery, CNC equipment, robotic welding systems, conveyors, overhead cranes, and material-handling equipment.
- Repair or replace bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains, sprockets, couplings, shafts, seals, motors, pumps, cylinders, valves, actuators, sensors, and switches.
- Troubleshoot sensors, relays, contractors, encoders, servomotors, safety circuits, human-machine interfaces, and communication devices.
- Diagnose variable-frequency drive faults, motor-control circuit issues, safety interlock failures, and equipment alarms.
- Support PLC troubleshooting by identifying input, output, sensor, and connected-device failures.
- Assist with robot fault identification, recovery, calibration, program restarts, and production startups within the employee’s training and authorization.
- Perform equipment alignment, leveling, calibration, adjustment, and operational testing.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits using schematics, gauges, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
- Identify pressure, flow, contamination, leakage, and component-failure issues within hydraulic and compressed-air systems.
- Repair mechanical power-transmission systems and related assemblies.
- Assist with the fabrication or modification of brackets, guards, supports, and replacement components.
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify equipment tolerances, alignment, and operating condition.
- Assist with equipment installation, relocation, commissioning, startup, upgrades, and retrofits.
- Work with engineering personnel, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and technical-support representatives to resolve complex equipment issues.
- Accurately document inspections, repairs, downtime, failure causes, maintenance work, and parts used.
- Communicate equipment status, repair progress, and operational concerns to maintenance and production leadership.
- Follow all established safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
- Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Vocational or technical training in industrial maintenance, electromechanical technology, automation, or a related field is preferred.
- Five or more years of industrial maintenance experience is preferred.
- Previous experience troubleshooting integrated electromechanical systems is required.
- Experience maintaining automated production machinery, robotics, CNC equipment, or heavy manufacturing equipment is strongly preferred.
- Experience in metal fabrication, welding operations, structural manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment is a plus.
- Ability to diagnose complex equipment failures involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems.
