ChildWatch Coordinator

Overview

The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking a talented and creative individual to join our team of passionate professionals as the Program Coordinator in charge of Childwatch in Waco, Texas. Under the direction of the Senior Program Director, the Program Coordinator will oversee the success of the Greater Waco YMCA Child Watch department.

• Growing the Child Watch program's participation
• Hire, train and supervise staff and ensure they follow all safety and policy procedures
• Work with Core Groups to determine best practices and ensure standards are met

• High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor s Degree preferred
• Previous Y experience preferred
• Must be available to work various shift, some nights and weekends
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
• The ability to train and lead staff
• Strong customer service experience and skills
• Experience with program development and implementation
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the effective recruitment, training, and supervision of staff
• Must be able to meet deadlines
• Must have valid Texas Driver license and necessary liability insurance
• Model the YMCA core values:
  Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility; implement character development and the YMCA core values in all programs and all aspects of Center operations
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal history check and sex offender registry check, and reference checks.

Pay Rate: $43,000-$48,000/annually
