Position
Title: Site Manager
Classification: Exempt
Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, 12‑Month Full‑Time
Pay Grade: Grade 11 (Step placement based on education and experience)
Job Summary Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a licensed early childhood education center, ensuring a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children, families, and staff. Ensures compliance with all licensing requirements, Head Start Performance Standards, and agency policies and procedures. Supervises, trains, and evaluates staff; manages facility operations and supplies; maintains required records; communicates effectively with families; and promotes high‑quality educational and comprehensive services to support positive child and family outcomes.

Maintain confidentiality of client/agency information as required by State and Federal laws, appropriate regulations, and professional practice.Communicate effectively in written and/or verbal form to individuals and groups.Consistently demonstrate and communicate EOAC’s Mission and Vision.Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and Head Start Performance Standards.Have in‑depth knowledge of Early Childhood Development assessment systems and effective curriculum implementation; knowledge of growth patterns and developmental needs of young children; knowledge of health, education and developmental needs of pregnant women. Be able to solve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables.Observe, supervise and direct staff; work effectively with staff in an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation; relate positively to parents and other community representatives; develop consistent, stable, supportive relationships with very young children and their families.Interpret varied instructions; ensure notices, calendars, newsletters and communications are timely and well written; provide clerical assistance as needed; provide weekly reports to Child Services Coordinator.Use system for ongoing observations, assessments and maintain individual plans for education of each child; maintain documentation and tracking.Write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of children, parents, staff and community groups; work with low‑income families and culturally diverse populations.Plan and conduct monthly site and safety meetings; orient and monitor volunteers and visitors; ensure monthly Center Committee Meetings occur.Schedule regular staffing meetings; support, case conferencing, and tracking documentation; ensure staff provide appropriate feeding, diapering, naps and daily health checks; maintain routines and transitions.Ensure screening for sensory, developmental and behavioral concerns within 45 days of entry; work with Child and Family Advocate for referrals; implement ongoing assessment and tracking.Inform parents of child’s development; provide home visits and conferences; encourage participation in curriculum planning and classroom activities.Ensure children are appropriately supervised; practice positive guidance; follow policies for reporting suspected abuse/neglect; maintain adult/child ratio; monitor and report non‑federal share.Support individualized lesson planning that aligns with child interests and Performance Standards.Arrange training as needed; monitor staff performance; maintain staff files and supervision documentation; engage in professional growth through training and conferences.Demonstrate good organizational skills and meet timelines.Have knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and CACFP regulations.Employ problem‑solving, prioritization and multitasking to complete responsibilities promptly.Be detail‑oriented and maintain accuracy.Work independently; supervise, train staff to ensure quality program services.Monitor center and grounds conditions; ensure sanitation, hygiene, safety; follow emergency procedures with drills.Physical Demands
