SUMMARY/PURPOSE OF POSITION
Child Care Assistance, a program of Child Care Group manages child care subsidies in support of working parents, and quality initiatives to improve the early education for children throughout Dallas, Jefferson, Harden and Orange counties in Texas. This 2

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Customer Service:
Assists customers via phone, email, and in person in a prompt, courteous and professional manner. Provides technical assistance by phone, email, and in person on recording attendance, program requirements, and child care provider payments. Must problem-solve and communicate among different departments in order to answer customer questions and resolve customer complaints.
Attendance System Review:
Reviews state system for attendance recorded by parents and enters work item for follow up in case management system for noncompliance issues. Contacts parents regarding noncompliance, excessive absences, and attendance card issues and terminates services as required.
Data Entry/Attendance Tracking:
Reconciles attendance information recorded by parents with information submitted by child care providers, documentation in the case management system, and attendance website; revises attendance information in the state system according to guidelines. Finalizes and confirms attendance information for payment.
Research/Review:
Researches child care provider payment issues and makes necessary documentation in case management and state systems. Provides feedback to other staff on claim entry errors.
Resolve Errors:
Contacts child care providers regarding errors or adjustments to payments. May request additional documentation from child care providers to resolve payment issues.

None

File paperwork and forms accurately and in a timely manner.
Prepare reports as requested
Performs other duties as assigned
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
Experience and
Skills Required:
Must demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize work.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of people.
- Proficiency in use of computer, word processing software (Word), and email (Outlook) required.
- Must be able to demonstrate these abilities by completing skills tests.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines required.
- Must be able to function as a team member.
- Prompt and regular attendance required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish language skills preferred.

Other desired skills:
EQUIPMENT USED
Computer, Server, fax, scanner, automatic call distribution (ACD) phone line, and all office equipment.
Travel:
Local travel may be required. Must have reliable transportation; valid Texas drivers license, proof of liability insurance and driving record acceptable to CCGs automobile liability insurance carrier.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Physical:
Work requires normal physical effort with any lifting restricted to items weighing less than 25 pounds; visual attention; manual dexterity/coordination.
Cognitive/Mental:
Ability to produce content/copy and accurately edit documents; focus; have attention to details; coordinate and manage numerous tasks simultaneously; prioritize and meet deadlines; maintain positive attitude and ability cope with stressful situations and the public.
Environment:
Comfortable work environment with pleasant atmosphere.

Position may have contact with a variety of internal and external customers, including but not limited to volunteers, funders, community organizations, CCG Board Members, parents, providers, media personnel, vendors, and all levels of staff.
