Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary

Operates a wide variety of heavy equipment vehicles that perform the spreading and compaction of construction demolition, soil remediation, commercial and residential waste disposed at the post collection facilities and/or particular job sites. Heavy Equipment Operators work closely with other team members and follow safety protocols to ensure efficient project completion while minimizing risks.

Shift: 6:00pm - 6:00am - 5 on / 3 off

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Operates heavy equipment in compliance with the company operating safety policies and procedures.

* Conducts routine equipment inspections and minor preventative maintenance on equipment; maintains accurate records.

* Moves and positions raw materials and finished components with use of material moving equipment.

* Follow appropriate standard operating procedures as guideline for operating and maintaining vehicle.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* No education required

* must be at least 18 years of age

* 1 year previous experience operating heavy equipment

* Capable of operating this equipment:

- Skid steer, tractor, mini, etc.)

* Valid driver's license

* Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) most of the work day;

* Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) rarely;

* Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the work day;

This job operates in both inside garage, shop or gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity.
