Position: LUBE TECHNICIAN

Role Overview

As a Lube Technician you are responsible for performing preventive maintenance services on fleet vehicles and heavy support equipment located on construction projects, plant and shop facilities.

Typical schedule:

Monday – Friday 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturday as needed.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform daily equipment inspections to identify and correct unsafe conditions and ensure equipment is properly maintained; perform repairs during slow times.
  • Safely and properly perform routine maintenance (lubricating, fueling, and cleaning) on heavy equipment.
  • Dismantle equipment such as grease guns, air lines, and lubricating pumps; examine parts for breaks, wear, and dirt; replace defective parts; clean and assemble equipment.
  • Acknowledge surroundings, including equipment and traffic awareness.
  • Maintain consistent performance while performing repetitive work.
  • Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high‑stress situations.
  • Demonstrate self‑motivation, teamwork, and good interpersonal skills; maintain positive customer relations and act courteously/respectfully towards others.
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems related to material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.; monitor and discuss production problems with co‑workers and managers/supervisors.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • GED or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in equipment/vehicle maintenance facility.
  • Experience with oil change and maintenance for automobiles or trucks.
  • CDL Class A or B with Hazmat Tanker endorsement.
