Truck Driver
Heartland Express provides on‑time service across 48 states. We are looking for experienced long‑haul truck drivers to join our fleet.
CompensationSalary: $60,000 – $95,000 per year (average $69,000). Average weekly pay: $1,336 (top earner $1,819). Average miles: 2,400+ per week.
Home expectations: 4 weeks home, 4 days per week.
Bonuses:
- Green Zone bonus: $0.05 per mile (north of MD & east of I‑81)
- Safety bonus: $0.01–$0.03 per mile
- Latest Kenworth, Freightliner & International tractors with free warranty service
- Nationwide service shops
- Trucks operating at 68 MPH
- Annual scheduled wage increases
- All dry van freight
- 48‑state operating area
- Drop & hook, no‑touch freight
- Paid orientation/training
- Detention pay: $20 per hour
- Breakdown pay
- Coast‑to‑coast terminal facilities (newly remodeled)
- Clean driver facilities: free showers, free laundry, TV, food and more
- Driver appreciation events at all terminals
- Assigned driver manager
- Class A CDL
- At least 6 months of tractor‑trailer driving experience
- Minimum age 21 years
- Good work history and MVR
- Safety‑first attitude with proven driving record
