Waconia Public Schools is looking for candidates dedicated to providing students with the opportunity to explore their passions and create their success! Our school district is located near the banks of Lake Waconia and approximately 25 miles west of Minneapolis, Waconia Public Schools serves approximately 4,000 students and their families from the communities of Waconia, Victoria, Minnetrista, Saint Bonifacius, and New Germany.

School District facilities include an educational services and enrichment center, area learning center, three elementary schools (K-5), one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12).

Work Schedule: Hours vary Monday-Friday

Salary: Compensation will be in accordance with the School District's extracurricular salary schedule from $2,651 - $3,616 season stipend depending on experience.

Position Summary: The Middle School Play Director is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the fall production. The play selected is Alice in Wonderland. There is already an assistant director hired who typically works with the crew side of the production. Auditions begin September 1st, and rehearsals are weekdays September 8-October 27. Performances are planned for Oct. 28-31. The qualified candidate should have theater training and/or is a licensed teacher.
