The Shift Leader is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the store in partnership with the General Manager or the Assistant General Manager. The Shift Leader ensures the team understands goals, expectations, products, cleanliness, new directives and guest connections during the shift.

• Demonstrates mastery of the DOING of Team Member with enthusiasm and excellence
• Lead shifts that focus on team engagement and guest satisfaction with a commitment to Make Fun Happen
• Think strategically about maximizing product sales and waste management
• Demonstrate “total store vision” and take ownership of the look and feel of the store
• Be knowledgeable about the deployment for the day, and the roles and responsibilities involved
• Communicate effectively on the floor during the shift
• Anticipate the needs of the team and guests and address situations before they become problematic
• Understand multiple shift priorities and effectively communicate and delegate objectives and tasks
• Take ownership for the current shift and the following shift
• Ensure the team is executing SOP and quality standards consistently
• Coach and provide feedback to Team Members to ensure they bring their best DOING and BEING
• Train the team on role responsibilities, product knowledge and promotions
• Perform administrative tasks with integrity and completeness, including bank deposits, inventory, store product orders and others as assigned
• Actively develop Team Members and discuss career growth

• At least 1 year of leadership, restaurant, retail or customer service experience, or properly trained and approved by Caribou Coffee to act as Shift Leader
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends
• Must be at least 18 years of age

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

The position requires hearing, speaking, seeing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for 4 to 8 hours, or the ability to meet these requirements with reasonable accommodations.

Compensation Range: $12.75 - $21.25 per hour

• Starting pay is subject to Local and State Minimum Wage regulations.
• Ranges reflect what the employer reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for such position.

The physical demands for this position include reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours, with or without reasonable accommodations.
