Lead Systems Engineer
The Systems Engineering team provides Wind Turbine system expertise while leading development of new products, turbine RTS activities, and strategic projects. The team owns system level trade-off decisions and continuous improvement in product development processes for the Wind product portfolio. As a Lead Systems Engineer, you will lead the technical execution of one or more New Product Introduction (NPI) programs from initiation through to validation.
Sometimes this will be done in parallel with separate programs in separate phases. These will support the MWC Platform overall objectives to create world-class wind turbine products.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide wind turbine system expertise through all phases of product development, including requirements definition, design and development, validation, and product life-cycle support
- Lead technical program teams on all system trade-offs and optimizations with a focus on the reduction of landed cost of electricity
- Own turbine-level requirements; contribute and approve subsystem requirements
- Own and drive risk management for technical program team including ownership of the Systems DFMEA
- Contribute to and approve customer facing technical documents
- Communicate and provide recommendations through analysis, preparation and presentation of technical material to internal and external audiences
- Drive simplification and standardization of best practices into engineering analysis, validation, and design execution
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Engineering/Technology
Desired Characteristics:
- Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience working on wind turbine system-related projects
- Ability to break-down complex issues, determine possible courses of action, and enable effective decision making
- System or product-level mindset
- Conceptual design and/or system-level trade-off experience
- Field issues, test and/or validation experience
- Requirements definition, decomposition, and/or translation experience
- Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Yes For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $98,400.00 and $. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
