The Opportunity
An established renewable energy business is looking for a motivated and experienced Electrician to join its growing team, supporting the installation, operation and maintenance of renewable energy assets across the UK.
This is a varied, hands-on position covering Solar PV installation, planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and performance monitoring. The role will suit an experienced electrician who enjoys problem-solving and is comfortable working across multiple renewable energy sites.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and complete Low Voltage electrical installations associated with Solar PV projects.
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across operational renewable energy sites.
Monitor and review site performance on a rota basis, including weekend cover.
Identify, record and resolve electrical faults using a proactive, methodical approach.
Analyse site performance and identify opportunities to improve ongoing operation.
Complete maintenance, fault and performance reports.
Travel to project and operational sites throughout the UK as required.
About You
City & Guilds 2365 Level 2/3, equivalent or higher.
City & Guilds 2391 inspection and testing qualification or equivalent.
BS 7671 18th Edition qualification.
Minimum 5 years' relevant industry experience.
Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Methodical, accurate and process-focused approach.
Good communication, organisational and IT skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Flexibility to work across the UK, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Desirable
Experience with Solar PV installation and maintenance.
Experience with communications systems, set-up and configuration.
Exposure to High Voltage installation and maintenance.
Relevant inverter manufacturer training.
