Roto-Rooter, the premier provider of plumbing and drain cleaning services, is seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.

• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
• Work on bill approvals across multiple companies in multiple states.
• Support and execute the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
• Maintain and update accounting records and documentation.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial information.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the service industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
