The Ruhlin Company seeks to hire a Chief Financial Officer out of Ruhlin’s Sharon Center office.
Summary: Provide strategic financial and operational leadership for the company in partnership with the President & CEO, overseeing financial activities and decision making while developing and executing the company's overall financial strategy.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial reporting to ensure effective financial operations, strong financial controls, and long-term fiscal health.
Provide oversight of the company’s Information Technology function, ensuring technology strategy, systems, cybersecurity, and infrastructure effectively support the Company’s operational and strategic goals.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the President & CEO.
ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Systems
- Direct the company’s accounting policies, procedures, and internal control environment to ensure sound financial management and compliance with applicable requirements.
- Continuously evaluate and improve accounting and finance processes to strengthen efficiency, accuracy, and financial controls.
- Recommend and implement improvements that safeguard the integrity of the company’s financial information and reduce financial and operational risk.
- Oversee the selection, implementation, integration and ongoing enhancement of financial systems, accounting software, and related technology.
- Ensure accounting practices and financial systems effectively support job costing, project profitability analysis, operational reporting, and management decision making.
- Develop and maintain a reliable cash flow forecasting process and reporting framework, including appropriate minimum cash thresholds to support ongoing operating requirements.
- Oversee daily cash position and working capital management to optimize liquidity and support the company’s operations.
- Manage banking, depository, and treasury relationships and develop strategies to strengthen the company’s overall cash position and financial flexibility.
- Maximize the return on available cash and invested funds through appropriate short- and long-term investment strategies while maintaining appropriate liquidity and risk parameters.
- Evaluate and manage financing, credit, and other treasury arrangements to support company growth and operational needs.
- Direct the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and management reports.
- Monitor company and divisional financial performance through analysis of financial results, job cost reports, margins, cash flow, and key performance indicators; identify trends and variances and implement correction actions as needed.
- Establish and maintain an effective forecasting process to provide management with timely, accurate visibility into financial performance and future results.
- Develop and oversee annual administrative and divisional budgets, including ongoing budget-to-actual analysis and accountability for performance.
- Provide the President & CEO and senior management with clear, actionable financial information to support operational and strategic decision making.
- Establish financial reporting processes and controls that ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial information.
- Lead the company’s overall financial strategy, planning, and fiscal performance in alignment with the Company’s strategic objectives.
- Develop and execute long-term financial strategies, including forecasting capital, facility, workforce, and other resource requirements; identifying funding sources; and developing actionable plans to support sustainable growth.
