In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Resident Assistant/STNA (Caregiver) provides for the personal care needs of residents and provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse.
Requirements- High school education or equivalent
- Ohio State Tested Certified Nursing Assistant STNA (if hired as a STNA)
- Experience with in assisted living facility preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance
- Possesses the necessary dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
- Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles
- Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day
- Well‑lighted, well‑ventilated rooms and halls
- Must understand infection control performance
- Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication
- Must communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers
- Required to make independent decisions
- Required to assist in response to emergency situations
