Welder Fabricator

Overview

The Ruhlin Company seeks to hire a Welder Fabricator in our Sharon Center location.

Summary:

Perform a variety of welding and fabrication tasks in a shop environment to support construction equipment repairs and operations. This position is responsible for fabricating, repairing, and modifying steel components, equipment attachments, and structures in a safe, efficient, and quality-focused manner.

• Perform welding and fabrication of steel components, assemblies, and structures using various welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick).
• Fabricate, modify, and repair construction-related components such as brackets, frames, handrails, supports, and equipment attachments.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary repairs, adjustments, and replacements.
• Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, and measurements.
• Measure, cut, grind, fit, and assemble metal parts using shop tools and equipment.
• Inspect finished work to ensure quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications.
• Transcribe data to maintain accurate repair records.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work area in a safe and organized manner.
• Communicate and reinforce the Company vision, values, and goals.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

• Minimum 3 years of welding and fabrication experience in an industrial or construction-related shop environment.
• Proficiency in MIG welding required; TIG and Stick welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints when available
• Experience working with structural steel, plate, and pipe.
• Basic computer/iPad skills.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Maintain all required certifications by OSHA and Company safety programs.
• Ability to work well independently.
• Ability to perform heavy manual tasks in a shop environment.
• Willing and able to learn new skills via hands-on training and acquire additional certifications as needed.
