Foundation Wellness is seeking a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to lead the development and execution of a structured maintenance management system at our Wadsworth, OH facility. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all maintenance activities, while also owning the organization and management of the maintenance storeroom and spare parts inventory. The Planner/Scheduler will play a critical role in transforming the maintenance function from a reactive model to a proactive, planned, and reliability-driven operation.
This position is highly cross-functional and requires strong coordination with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to ensure maximum equipment reliability, uptime, and cost control.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, implement, and manage a weekly maintenance planning and scheduling process
- Build and maintain a prioritized backlog of maintenance work orders
- Plan labor, materials, and tools required for all maintenance activities
- Create and publish weekly schedules aligned with production priorities
- Monitor and drive schedule adherence and execution discipline
- Balance reactive, preventative, and planned work
- Establish and enforce work order management processes within CMMS/ERP
- Ensure all maintenance work is documented and executed through the system
- Develop standard job plans and work classifications
- Drive system adoption and data accuracy
- Support transition to paperless work order environment
- Develop and maintain PM programs for critical assets
- Ensure PM work is planned and executed
- Support root cause analysis through data accuracy
- Establish an organized, 5S-aligned maintenance storeroom
- Manage inventory accuracy, levels, and part standardization
- Track inventory value and manage cost controls
- Eliminate inefficiencies related to parts availability
- Support Lean maintenance practices and daily management systems
- Drive visibility through KPIs and visual management
- Improve planned vs reactive work balance
- 5–8 years in maintenance planning, scheduling, or supervision
- Experience with CMMS/ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance and reliability
- Experience managing spare parts inventory
- Proven ability to drive reactive to proactive transformation
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Structured weekly maintenance planning and scheduling process in place
- Improved schedule adherence and reduced reactive work
- Fully utilized CMMS system
- Organized and controlled storeroom with accurate inventory
