RN Operating Room ASC/ASF

Location: Summa Health Wadsworth-Rittman Medical Center, Wadsworth, OH

Shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, 4-8 hour shifts (Part Time, 24-Hour Week)

Summary: Leads and provides care for patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Must be well versed in a variety of health conditions.

• Degree:
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Associate’s degree considered, must obtain BSN within three (3) years of employment.
• Graduate of a professional nursing program accredited by CCNE or ACEN.
• Current RN license in Ohio.

• Minimum one year operating room nursing experience.
• Two years RN nursing experience preferred.
• ACLS certification required or to be obtained within six months of hire.

• Effective communication with patients, physicians, and hospital staff.
• Near visual acuity for accurate reading of gauges, thermometers and monitors.
• Ability to work independently within established procedures.
• Professional judgment and decision-making in response to individual cases.
• Accountability for Summa service excellence standards.
• Teamwork: willingness to accept and give constructive feedback, support team goals, collaborate with team members to solve problems and reduce costs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Population-specific competency: ability to effectively interact with diverse patient populations with respect and dignity.

• Heavy: may require exerting 50-100 lbs of force occasionally, 25-50 lbs frequently, or 10-20 lbs continuously to move objects.
