A Quality Inspector performs an array of functions including but not limited to performing Quality and Engineering inspections of products and components.
- Enabling and disabling the inspection demands for incoming products
- Perform dimensional, geometric, and cosmetic quality inspections with coordinate measuring systems, basic hand gauges, and ascertaining compliance to stated specifications
- Manage nonconformance discoveries and follow established processes for segregation, quarantine, reaction plan and final disposition
- Coordinate with SQD to manage outside vendors and internal departments to resolve NCM issues
- Monitor Supplier complaints and corrective actions to reduce NCMs and improve the PT Tech Business Quality Management System with SQD Process
- Improve the effectiveness of our process and quality objectives
- Complete, utilize and train on required Quality Process training initiatives
- Creating, maintaining, and publishing Quality metrics and statistics to team conducting supplier evaluations
- Perform Internal QMS Audits as a qualified Auditor
- SAP goods movement reconciliations
- Proficient in Microsoft and SAP
- 3+ years’ experience with inspection or quality auditing
- Familiar with measurement software (CMM, Romer, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and engineering specifications
- Basic Mathematical Skills required with focus on Manufacturing Statistical methodologies
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- Ability to work independently and self‑manage activities to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skill
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
