The Ruhlin Company seeks to hire a Trucking Dispatcher in Sharon Center, OH.

Summary

Coordinate and manage company-wide trucking operations to ensure the safe and timely delivery of equipment and materials to jobsites.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily schedules for CDL drivers.
  • Procure hauling permits and schedule escorts when necessary.
  • Serve as the central point of communication for field personnel regarding the scheduling and movement of equipment and materials, coordinating changes with all affected parties.
  • Maintain schedules, records, and daily activity logs for equipment and drivers using HCSS.
  • Monitor and review driver’s timecards and DOT logbooks.
  • Coordinate with the Human Resources and Safety departments on CDL driver drug testing, road tests, and required training.
  • Adhere to all company safety practices and policies.
  • Address complaints and conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Yard Manager and field supervision.
  • Keep all relevant parties informed and support advance planning when possible.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by the Equipment Manager.
Essential Skills And Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of dispatch and/or logistics experience within the construction industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, allowable weights and loads and permit requirements.
  • Knowledge of trucking industry and previous CDL driving experience a plus.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office; experience with or willingness to learn HCSS Dispatching software (training provided).
  • Experience using the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Hauling Permit System a plus.
  • Outstanding ability to manage delivery logistics with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team focused mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships.
