About This OpportunityThe Netherlands Institute of Ecology is recruiting a PhD candidate to link hyperspectral Earth observation to ecosystem functioning and biodiversity. The official vacancy contains a deadline conflict between 18 and 19 October 2026, so no single normalized deadline is selected.
The project uses field ecology, laboratory measurements and airborne or satellite hyperspectral remote sensing to investigate how plant traits, nitrogen deposition, biodiversity and ecosystem functioning can be read from space. It is embedded in the ASCENT research programme.
