CNC Machinist

(Waggaman, LA):
Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to set up, operate, and monitor computer numerical control (CNC) machinery in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and ensuring production quality while maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.

• Operate CNC machines such as mills, lathes, and machining centers to produce precision parts
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
• Load raw materials and parts into machines and monitor machine performance during operation
• Perform machine setup adjustments, tooling changes, and offset corrections as needed
• Inspect finished products using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring devices
• Conduct test runs to ensure machine settings meet specifications
• Maintain production records and document completed work orders
• Troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions and notify maintenance when repairs are needed
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and quality procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous CNC machine operating experience in a manufacturing or machining environment preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and inspection tools
• Basic math and computer skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Knowledge of machine safety practices and PPE requirements
• Ability to work overtime or shifts as required

• Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
• Frequently lift, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday
• Manual dexterity to operate machinery and measuring equipment
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and moving equipment
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
