Registered Nurse/Clinical Float Pool

The Registered Nurse/Clinical Float Pool position at Wagoner Community Hospital is essential for providing high-quality patient care across various departments. The nurse will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans. Ultimately, this role plays a critical part in fostering a positive patient experience and promoting health and wellness within the community.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a float pool or similar role within a hospital setting.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in multiple departments, including but not limited to medical-surgical, emergency, and critical care units.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress accurately.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
