Summary

Duties- You will serve as an ELECTRICAL ENGINEER in the FACILITIES MANAGEMENT AND SUSTAINMENT DIV (N45), FACILITIES, MAINTENANCE and LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT DEPT (N4), at NAVAL COMPUTER AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS AREA MASTER STATION PACIFIC (NCTAMS PAC).
- You will serve as the NCTAMS PAC Regional Power Technical Representative.
- You will oversee operations and maintenance of emergency generators and uninterruptible power systems (UPS) for all activities in the NCTAMS PAC area of responsibility (AOR).
- You will evaluate assets, anticipate, and identify problem areas.
- You will conduct surveys and studies.
- You will plan, design and/or program projects to repair, upgrade or replace mission‑critical power support equipment.
- You will develop and review statements of work.
- You will perform technical reviews and designs.
- You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the station‑owned electrical distribution and emergency power system.
- You will create command‑wide standardization of required operation and maintenance procedures for electrical power equipment and systems.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre‑appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- You must successfully complete a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
- Successful completion of a pre‑employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.

- Degree:
Engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first‑year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress‑strain relationships);
