LOCATION:

NDSCS - Wahpeton, North Dakota

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT:
Full-time, 9-month, benefited position

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsibilities include teaching courses related to Automotive Technology. Additional duties include curriculum development and revision, student advising, assessment, student recruitment, and participation in assigned departmental, divisional and college committees and activities.

Minimum Requirements

* Must support the mission, vision, and values of NDSCS

* Two-year degree in automotive technology or related field

* Three years/4000 hours or more of relevant work experience in automotive technology or related field OR equivalent education and experience

* Effective oral and written communication skills

* Computer literate

* Ability to function in a team environment

* Flexibility to meet the needs of students

* Willingness to teach students with varying levels of ability

* Able and willing to keep current in the field

* Willingness to teach secondary education courses (high school)

* Willingness to teach distance education as future needs arise

* Willingness to achieve ASE certifications

Preferred Qualifications

* Associate in applied science degree

* ASE certification

* Experience in the following areas:

* Engine performance

* Automatic transmission

* Engine mechanical

* Electrical/electronics

* Steering and suspension

* Manual drive trains

* HVAC systems

* Proficient computer skills

* Teaching or training experience

Additional Information

SALARY: $59,163, commensurate with education and experience
