What Will I Be Doing?- Team members must be able to work in a team oriented and safety conscious environment. “Safety First” expectations include, but are not limited to, the PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures.
- Assigned tasks include, but are not limited to; performing housekeeping and janitorial duties to maintain offices, restrooms, and public areas in clean and orderly condition.
- Remove trash from offices and other work areas. Stripping and waxing of floors, burnishing waxed floors, cleaning and maintaining carpeted floors, and floor scrubbing of ceramic tile floors. Assist other service personnel with minor facility service repairs. Follow established routines. Employee will perform any and all other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Must be able to use hand tools and cleaning machinery daily, such as floor sweepers and brooms.
- Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job.
- Compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Aim to meet performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals, including employee development planning.
- Communicate with all team members to assist the development of short- and long-range planning in support of the company’s goals and objectives.
- Maintain personal tools required for the job.
- Meet physical requirements of the job.
- Maintain good attendance in accordance with company policy.
- Perform assigned tasks in a safety, effective, and efficient manner.
- Accurate and timely administrative duties including time accounting and work order completion.
- Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
What Makes Me Qualified?
Experience:
Two years’ experience in janitorial / custodial applications desirable.
What are the physical demands of the role?
- The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet).
- Control Precision – The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
- Manual Dexterity – The ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
- Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.
- Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
- Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
- Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
- Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
- Communication/Expression – The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
- Information Ordering – The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules.
