Quanex is looking for a
Tooling Technician - to join our team located onsite in Wahpeton, North Dakota.
Put your technical expertise to work where precision matters. As a key member of our team, you'll prepare and maintain the tooling needed to manufacture high-quality products that meet our customers' exact requirements. Your work will directly support production efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
Salary: $21.00 to $27.00 per hour, starting wage varies based on your experience
Work Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Friday 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., overtime as business requires.

- Leads and promotes a culture of safety first.
- Must be qualified to coordinate and lead the implementation of improvements within their department.
- Understands quality expectations and works with all team members to ensure quality procedures are being followed and standard work is being followed.
- Prepares and assembles all tooling for upcoming production runs prior to the time when they are needed, including back-up tooling when necessary.
- Maintains a working knowledge of machine operations in order to determine how a customer product should be made.
- Cooperates with and supports co-workers and gets involved as a team player.
- High School education or equivalent required
- 3+ years' manufacturing experience, preferred
- Auto Cad experience, preferred
- Experience with calipers, dial indicators, protectors, squares, rulers, etc.
