Full-Time Custodian

Big Island (Waikoloa, HI 96738)

• Clean, sweep, mop, and disinfect tables, chairs, windowsills, glass windows, and countertops
• Dust common areas, including hallways, stairways, food courts, and restrooms; ensure toilet seats and urinals are cleaned
• Restock cleaning supplies
• Ability to stand and work in warm/hot weather
• Multi-task and work efficiently, both independently and within a team
• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service at all times
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers
• Report safety issues or building problems (e.g., burnt light bulbs)
• Notify the appropriate HBM employee regarding supplies and equipment needed for cleaning tasks
• Perform all other duties as assigned

• Successful completion of a background check is required
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred
• Previous experience as a custodian or in a related field is advantageous, though training will be provided
• Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions in English
• Strong public relations and communication skills are necessary
• Applicants should be prepared to perform basic manual labor, maintain cleanliness in common areas, and regularly lift, press, push, pull, and carry a minimum of 50-100lbs
• Physical capabilities must include reaching overhead, grasping objects, bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stretching, walking, and standing throughout shifts

Sunday
- Thursday: 5:30am-2:00pm (Days off: Friday and Saturday)

$20.00 per hour
