The successful candidate for this position will be a 1099 contractor with Music Ministry International and be responsible for the following:
1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICESThis requirement is for the acquisition of the contractual Service of a Catholic Pastoral Life Coordinator (CPLC) to support the United States Army Garrison Hawaii (USAG-HI) Catholic Chapel communities.
The CPLC prepares, maintains and executes the administration of the Catholic program under the supervision, primarily, of the Senior Catholic Army Priest (Chaplain). The contractor shall provide all personnel, management, personal transportation, and any other items or services not government furnished, to prepare furnish and support this contract as the CPLC for the two worship services that make up the St.
Damien and St. Marianne Catholic Communities which are located at Main Post Chapel, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. The majority of the work and services are performed at: 791 McCornack Rd, Main Post Chapel. Crossover support and coverage to other chapels may be utilized in the execution of this contract as directed by the Senior Catholic Priest, the Chaplain Resource Manager, or the USAG-HI Garrison Chaplain.

1.1 BackgroundThe Catholic denomination is the largest denomination in the U.S. Army. The Catholic Church is a highly regulated faith group placing very specific requirements on her ministers and faithful. The “Code of Canon Law”, AMS “Priests’ Manual” and AMS “Priests’ Manual Appendix” and the Army Chief of Chaplain’s SOP on Catholic Religious Program, lists those requirements that inform the CPLC model.
1.2Catholic Pastoral Life Coordinator (CLPC) Model
The CPLC model follows the civilian model by aligning the role of CPLC with the role of Parish Administrator. Due to the specificity of the military environment, CPLCs will be selected through a contracting process not an appointment of a bishop. This allows Catholic Chaplains to focus on the sacramental ministry in the chapel and religious support in their units of assignment (deployments, FTXs, unit and the distinctive religious group coverage).
2SERVICE LOCATIONS AND STRUCTURE
The Catholic Chapel communities hold two (2) weekly Masses that occur at two locations, Main Post Chapel on Schofield Barracks and Aliamanu Military Reservation and together make up the St. Damien and St. Marianne Catholic Community. The St. Damien and St. Marianne Catholic Community are located at Main Post Chapel, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. The majority of the work and services are performed at 791 McCornack Rd, Main Post Chapel (MPC) and at 1085 Bougainville Loop, Aliamanu Military Reservation Chapel (AMR), Honolulu, Hawaii.
Crossover support and coverage to other chapels (located at Soldier’s Chapel on Schofield, HMR Chapel on Helemano Military Reservation and Wheeler Chapel on Wheeler Army Airfield and Fort DeRussy) may be utilized in the execution of this contract as directed by the Senior Catholic Priest, the Chaplain Resource Manager, or the USAG-HI Senior Chaplain.

3.1 General InformationThis is a Catholic specific contract. Contractor shall provide island-wide, denominationally specific administrative support for the Catholic Community and Catholic Community Pastoral Advisory Council, including denominationally specific, professional support for the Catholic Liturgical Calendar.
