Maui District: Deaf​/Hard of Hearing Itinerant Teacher

Responsibilities

• Provide special education services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Support students and schools with hearing assistive technology.
• Actively participate in IEP teams.
• Conduct assessments.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire.
• Commitment to complete a Hawaii Teacher Education Program (SATEP) if not already licensed, within 3 years of employment.
• Active pursuit and demonstration of progress toward meeting Hawaii licensing requirements as set by the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board.
