Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc) is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist for a W2 Contract position based in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Schedule: Full time
Assignment Duration:13 Weeks with high likelihood of extending
Hourly Rate:This position offers an hourly rate between $57.00 to $62.00 which equates to $2,280 to $2,480 per week (based on a 40-hour workweek.

Summary:
The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist provides specialized technical expertise in the performance of diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. This role is responsible for operating imaging equipment, assisting physicians during coronary interventions and device implantations, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining compliance with hospital, state, and regulatory standards. The technologist collaborates with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care in the Cath Lab.
Essential Functions:
Prepares patients for diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including coronary interventions.
Operates fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring systems during procedures to ensure high-quality imaging and accurate data collection.
Assists physicians with device implantations, including pacemakers, ensuring sterile technique and compliance with procedural protocols.
Scrubs, circulates, and monitors as part of the Cath Lab team to support seamless procedural flow.
Responds promptly and effectively to patient emergencies, demonstrating advanced critical thinking and clinical judgment.
Ensures compliance with hospital policies, Joint Commission standards, and state and federal regulations.
Provides expertise in radiation safety and imaging equipment operation to physicians and staff.
Maintains accurate documentation of procedures, patient records, and equipment usage in accordance with organizational standards.
Participates in quality improvement initiatives, equipment calibration, supply management, and process enhancements.
Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and support continuity of care.
Qualifications:
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience with coronary training required.
Experience assisting with device implants (e.g., pacemakers) strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring, sterile technique, and interventional cardiology practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
Ability to perform effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
