Travel RN - Home Health

American Traveler is hiring a BSN-prepared RN for a Home Health position on the island of Maui, HI, requiring at least 1 year of home health experience and OASIS documentation proficiency.

Job Details

• Home health setting serving an adult patient population in their homes on the island of Maui,

• Productivity expectation of 25 units per week,

• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00-16:30),

• No weekend or on-call requirements,

• Occasional floating to cover other Hawaiian islands (Oahu, Kauai, and/or Big Island), with all associated travel expenses covered,

Job Requirements

• Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required,

• BSN required,

• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required,

• Minimum 1 year of home health RN experience required,

• OASIS documentation experience of more than 3 months required,

• Required clinical skills include: adult home health care, admission assessment, case management, start of care, recertification, resumption of care, routine visits, significant change in condition, discharge planning, transfer, blood glucose/glucometer management, colostomy/ileostomy care, G-tube and feeding tube management, NG tube care, nutritional assessment, post AV fistula/shunt care, suprapubic and urinary catheter insertion/management, drain management, pressure ulcer prevention/staging/management, wound care, wound V.A.C. management, medication and pain assessment/management, chemotherapy side effect monitoring, port insertion/care, cast/brace/immobilizer care, post-amputation and post-total joint replacement care, IV administration including blood products, peripheral IV and central line/port management, IV start skills, phlebotomy, clinical assessment documentation, care coordination, infection control, vital signs, and oxygen safety/administration,

Additional Information

• Scrubs in any color and closed-toed shoes are required,

• Preferred skills include psych home health experience, tracheostomy care, and Matrix Care EMR documentation,

• Matrix Care EMR experience is preferred but not required,
