Travel ICU RN
Job SummaryFusion Medical Staffing is seeking an ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Wailuku, Hawaii. The role requires at least one year of recent ICU RN experience, a valid RN license in compliance with state regulations, and CCRN certification.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive critical care to patients in the ICU, including assessment and monitoring of critically ill patients
- Operate and manage advanced life-support equipment and administer advanced treatments
- Interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring including arterial lines, central venous pressure, and pulmonary artery catheters
- Administer complex medications and treatments according to approved critical care nursing techniques
- Ensure patient safety and comfort in high-acuity ICU environments, addressing physical and emotional needs
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record in a timely manner, ensuring continuity of care and regulatory compliance
- Provide education to patients and families regarding the ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations
- Communicate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care
- Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies through ongoing education and training
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols to protect immunocompromised patients
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance ICU patient outcomes and operational efficiency
- Valid RN license compliant with state regulations
- Minimum one year of recent ICU RN experience
- CCRN certification
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Must be able to remain stationary, move about, lift and move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move equipment when assisting with procedures or using department equipment
- Must cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, and independently without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
