Hi Health Care is seeking skilled and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team on a per diem or part-time basis. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of healthcare environments on Maui, providing high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will bring strong, well-rounded clinical experience comparable to working in clinics, hospitals, or rehabilitation settings, and the ability to adapt quickly to different teams and workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, observing symptoms, and documenting patient progress
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments in accordance with physician orders
- Perform clinical procedures such as wound care, dressing changes, specimen collection, EKGs, and basic testing
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, transfers, and overall care coordination
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and comfort measures
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with procedures when needed
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and follow-up care instructions
- Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
- Adapt quickly to new environments, follow facility protocols, and deliver quality care with minimal supervision
- Current Hawaii LPN license in good standing
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent clinical experience (clinic, hospital, or rehab preferred)
- Strong clinical skills, assessment abilities, and critical thinking
- Experience with EMR systems and standard nursing procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in fast-paced environments
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
- Additional certifications (e.g., IV therapy, ACLS) are a plus
- Experience in multiple healthcare settings
- High adaptability and strong organizational skills
- Reliable, flexible, and patient-focused
- Commitment to delivering high-quality care
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations
