LPN - Clinic Medications

Role Overview

Provides direct and indirect outpatient nursing care under RN supervision, serving as a resource for LPN Clinic/Meds I. Responsibilities include reviewing and preparing medical records, implementing nursing procedures, administering treatments and medications, performing point-of-care testing, and documenting patient data. Ensures patient safety, observes responses to care, and collaborates with healthcare team to revise care plans. Manages immunization records, administers vaccines according to guidelines, maintains vaccine inventories, and trains staff on vaccine storage protocols.

Supports infection control, patient education, and clinic operations, including scheduling and supply management.

• At least 12 months of LPN experience.
• Hawaii LPN licensure and Basic Life Support certification.
• Knowledge of conflict resolution, customer service, and effective communication.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and cultural sensitivity.
• Preferred: acute care experience and proficiency in PC applications.

• Prepare and review patient records, follow up on needs, and communicate observations.
• Administer treatments, medications, and immunizations; perform point-of-care tests.
• Document care activities and patient responses accurately.
• Assist with discharge planning, referrals, and patient education.
• Manage immunization data, ensure compliance with guidelines, and maintain vaccine inventories.
• Train staff on vaccine storage and clinic procedures.
• Support infection control and clinic operations, including supply management and patient scheduling.
