About This Role
The Staff Nurse provides nursing care and services to patients and families in a mixed Med Surg/Telemetry unit. This role is ideal for those who can demonstrate adaptability and strong interpersonal skills while delivering high-quality patient care.
Highlights- Pay: $51 - $72/hour
- Location: Wailuku, HI
- Facility: Maui Memorial Medical Center
- Department/Unit: Mixed Med Surg/Tele Unit 5
- Schedule: Full-time, Night shift
- Provide nursing care and services to patients and families.
- Delegate nursing care according to legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Utilize nursing process to deliver care.
- Administer medications.
- Teach LPNs and nursing assistive personnel special tasks of nursing care.
- Verify staff competency to perform special tasks of nursing care.
- Serve as primary nurse/total patient caregiver.
- Act as resource nurse and preceptor.
- Take charge duties as assigned.
- Accept responsibility for quality of nursing rendered.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience: One (1) year experience in area of specialty or completion of a formal course in area of specialty within a designated period after hire.
- Current Registered Nurse License in Hawaii required at hire.
- Basic Life Support OR CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers required.
