Distinguishing CharacteristicsThis class differs from the Water Plant Maintenance Mechanic I in that the Water Plant Maintenance Mechanic Helper works with and assists a skilled Water Plant Maintenance Mechanic in installing, maintaining, repairing and overhauling a variety of water pumping plant and related water systems equipment; whereas the Water Plant Maintenance Mechanic I performs skilled work in installing, maintaining, repairing and overhauling a variety of water pumping and related water systems equipment.
