SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The Specialist IV conducts assessments and develops, implements, and monitors service plans with measurable objectives based on clinical evaluations. They are responsible for delivering services that link assessment, treatment design, therapeutic interventions, and ongoing evaluation to support successful case outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Therapeutic Services: Provides individual, conjoint, family, and group therapy according to participant needs, as well as outreach and family life education. Offers advocacy as needed and uses a broad range of diagnostic, treatment, and Best Practice techniques.
  • Case Management & Coordination: Provides case management and service coordination in conjunction with the referring social worker. Coordinates and collaborates with public and private agencies to prevent duplication of services. Facilitates and documents interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Administrative Responsibilities: Completes caseload-related tasks such as correspondence, reports, documentation, dictation, and maintenance of case records. Performs agency-wide reporting duties, including daily and monthly activity reports, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Professional Practice & Representation: Utilizes regular supervision to strengthen performance and ensure high-quality service delivery. Represents the program in community organizations and maintains participant confidentiality at all times.

This position is scheduled for 24 hours per week.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
  • Masters' Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Requires knowledge of an advanced type.
  • Other (Specify):
    • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field from an accredited institution. Licensed preferred
EXPERIENCE
  • Over one year, up to and including two years.

  • Willingness to work with others, including participants coping with multiple issues, and coworkers as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability in experience and education in relevant aspects of clinical practice.

  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with people of diverse social, economic, ethnic/racial, and cultural backgrounds.
