American Traveler is hiring an Activities Coordinator for a long-term care/skilled nursing facility position requiring MDS and activity program experience along with an active HI license.
Requirements- Active HI state license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Valid driver's license required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Activities Coordinator planning, assessing, and coordinating comprehensive activity programs
- MDS experience required
- Knowledge of human anatomy and administrative practices for directing patient/resident activity programs
- Experience with budget preparation and personnel supervision
- Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively in English
- Work in a long term care or skilled nursing facility setting
- Full time position with any shift assignment including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Uses Cerner EMR
- Holiday coverage required for assigned holidays (New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day)
- Direct an activity program addressing patients'/residents' social, recreational, physical, educational, and spiritual needs
- Support patients'/residents' dignity, mental and physical capacity, self-confidence, and empowerment through meaningful activities
- Responsible for program assessment, development, performance improvement, budget monitoring, and personnel management
- Supervise and train subordinate staff and conduct training programs
