Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $27.50 /hr

Position Summary Kelly Services is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Coordinator (Special Projects) for a hospital in Waimea, HI. This contract-to-hire opportunity is perfect for candidates with experience in procurement, supply chain, or materials management, especially in healthcare. You’ll coordinate special projects, support strategic procurement initiatives, oversee equipment and lease tracking, and manage product recalls. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage special procurement projects and department initiatives.
  • Administer the Med/Surg commitment program—monitoring commitments, tracking purchases, and ensuring contract compliance.
  • Manage fleet equipment inventory: acquisitions, replacements, maintenance, and utilization tracking.
  • Coordinate lease agreements for equipment/products, including renewals, expirations, and vendor communications.
  • Oversee product recall notifications, communicating with departments, tracking recalls, and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Prepare monthly procurement reports and dashboards, analyzing trends, cost savings, and KPIs.
  • Assist with non-stock purchasing requests by obtaining quotations, issuing purchase orders, and coordinating deliveries.
  • Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical departments to resolve purchasing needs.
  • Maintain procurement records in compliance with organizational, state, and contract requirements.
  • Identify process improvement and workflow standardization opportunities.
  • Perform related procurement duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • 3–5 years’ experience in purchasing, procurement, materials management, or healthcare supply chain.
  • Experience preparing procurement reports and analyzing data.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and purchasing or ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational, project management, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and collaborative mindset.

Hospital Employment Requirements

  • Successful completion of a background check.

  • TB test.
