Overview of Role
The Project Manager will focus primarily on practice-related services—managing the delivery of all project management related services—while also engaging in internal business operations such as business development, financial management, and staff development. The role carries significant independent responsibility for assignments, which may include entire projects or portions thereof, as determined by the project lead or office manager. The Project Manager must identify opportunities within a project that add value and help successfully achieve the client’s desired outcomes.

Essential Functions- Manage the client and project team, delivering projects that meet the client’s goals and outcomes.
- Act as liaison with clients and assist them in all project-related decisions.
- Plan, organize, and direct project management through all phases—Preconstruction, Construction, and Closeout.
- Preconstruction:
Build the A&E team; manage design, schedule, constructability review, budget, cost control, contract administration, construction bidding, planning, permitting strategy, and process. - Construction:
Oversee contractor from buyout, procurement, risk management, quality assurance, safety, and overall execution; maintain budget and schedule control. - Closeout:
Manage the closeout process to meet project specifications. - Maintain and produce cost and status reports that meet the client’s objectives.
- Possibly manage and mentor an internal team of project support staff or work independently.
- Contribute to team performance through collaboration and effective communication.
- Understand and identify opportunities that add value to achieve desired outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience across various building types and construction management from preconstruction to closeout.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; strong problem‑solving, numeracy, and financial management skills; ability to produce clear, precise reports and explain complex information to diverse audiences; proven ability to inspire and manage diverse teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.
- Primarily indoor office work using computers and standard office equipment. Tasks include computer use, answering and speaking on telephone.
- Site work may involve ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles; requires foot and hand/arm use, body agility, and often the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Other tasks: sitting, standing for long periods, walking, carrying, pushing, stooping, crouching, pulling.
