Location: Waimea/Kamuela
Job Summary
A Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) is needed for a facility in Waimea, Hawaii. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized care to antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, high-risk, and laboring patients, as well as caring for observation and newborns in the nursery. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of work. The position requires the ability to work any shift, preferably nights, with a minimum of 80 hours every two weeks.

- Schedule:
12‑hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. - Duration: 13 weeks (starting 29 June 2026)
- Employment Type:
Travel - 36 hours per week, 12 hour shifts.
- Required
Certifications:
Valid BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and Fetal Monitoring. - Minimum experience:
2 years in labor and delivery, including couplet care. - Valid RN license.
- Care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and high‑risk patients (e.g., PIH, placenta abruption, prolapse cord, placenta previa, VBAC, GDM, PTL, PROM)
- Manage observation and non‑stress test patients.
- Care for well babies, phototherapy, and special care nursery infants.
- Initiate adult and neonatal intravenous therapy, perform adult and neonatal accu checks, and conduct PKU on newborns.
- Provide neonatal resuscitation, APGAR scoring, bulb suctioning, and assist with circumcisions.
- Support anesthesia with intrathecal or epidural administrations, monitor patients with PCA pumps, attend cesarean sections, and care for babies postpartum.
- Manage IV fluids and medications, including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and insulin drips.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and interpret findings, especially during labor with internal monitors and amnioinfusion procedures.
- Assist physicians with external cephalic version.
- Experience in adult and neonatal intensive care is preferred.
- Must start on 29 June 2026 and adhere to all facility policies and shift requirements.

Cross Country Job . Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
