Band 2 HB Security Supervisor Primary Responsibilities

Direct and supervise Safety & Security Officers on their shift in providing security and emergency response services throughout the resort ensuring that performance is within the guidelines of written procedures and resort philosophy. Enforce security and safety guidelines to safeguard resort and guest property. Investigate and document incidents of concern and properly respond to resolve issues.

  • Respond rapidly to all emergencies and handle crisis situations in an efficient and professional manner. Exhibit a calming demeanor and has the ability to manage emergency situations.
  • Direct officers and does foot and mobile patrol of the entire resort.
  • Investigation and fact finding inquiries through short and long term observation, review of documentation, interviews and interrogations.
  • Accurately document incidents, inquiries and investigations.
  • Enforce security and safety guidelines to safeguard resort and guest property.
  • Train, supervise, direct and counsel employees under his direction to insure proper response to emergencies and securing resort facilities.
  • Coordinate and supervise special assignments.
  • Assist the DOSS in the day‑to‑day operations of the department.
  • Perform all duties of a Safety & Security Officer.
  • Act as liaison with residential homeowners to ensure their safety, security and risk management concerns or issues are addressed.
  • Coordinate and supervise the gated controlled access throughout the resort, ensure constant residential patrols and monitor all traffic flows.
  • Meet regularly with homeowners and their associations to discuss their concerns or to provide proactive emergency home management crisis advice.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Other Duties
  • Train team members/leaders in other departments on safety and security issues.
Working Conditions
  • Normal office conditions.
  • Outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Travel throughout the resort.
Work Hours
  • Must be able to work schedule designated by the Director of Safety and Security.
  • Must be able to work long and irregular hours.
  • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week.
Equipment Use
  • Proficient in the use of a computer and with the resort’s word, spreadsheet and other required software.
  • Ability to use the telephone, radio, camera.
  • Ability to use various office equipment including but not limited to calculators, photocopiers and facsimile machines.
  • Able to drive a vehicle.
  • Able to operate a utility cart.
  • Ability to operate AED.
Mental and Physical Demands
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload to ensure deadlines is met.
  • Able to manage stressful and challenging situations.
  • Must be able to quickly analyze emergency situations, remain calm and take charge.
  • Able to stand, walk, bend and reach during most of shift.
  • Lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
Communication Demands
  • Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing to employees, department manager and guests/clients.
  • Ability to communicate over the phone or radio.
  • Must have interviewing skills; write accurate reports and document investigations.
  • 3 years related work experience.
  • CPR/First Aid Certificate.
  • AED Certification.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Driver’s License when operating company vehicles.
