Positions:
Temporary full-time and permanent full-time in Downtown across the Department of Accounting & General Services, Department of Budget & Finance, and Department of Labor & Industrial Relations.
Salary:
Level I $4,368/month (SR-16, Step
D). Level II $4,725/month (SR-18, Step
D).
Receives training and assists in a trainee capacity in professional accounting work. Performs other duties as required. Assignments are part of a planned training program with detailed instructions and close review.
Level II ResponsibilitiesAdvanced trainee performing a variety of assignments from simple to moderately difficult, not requiring a fully trained accountant. Applies accounting knowledge to duties and performs related responsibilities, progressing toward independent work.
Qualifications- Legal Authorization to Work: citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
- Basic
Education:
bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four‑year college or university with at least 12 semester credit hours in accounting and/or auditing subjects. - Accountant I: no experience required.
- Accountant II: six (6) months progressive professional accounting or auditing experience, which may include teaching accounting at the university level.
