Accounting Manager

Quality Custom Distribution is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations in a fast-paced transportation and warehousing environment. This role oversees general ledger, AP/AR, and month-end close, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The Accounting Manager will manage a small team, support budgeting and forecasting, and partner with operations to analyze costs, margins, and inventory. Responsibilities include maintaining internal controls, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.

This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a team-oriented, safety-focused supply chain operation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, and payroll interfaces
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and reconciliations
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports in compliance with GAAPSupport budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with operations leadership
• Monitor and improve internal controls, policies, and standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with transportation and warehousing teams on cost, margin, and inventory analysis
• Coordinate and support internal and external financial audits
• Supervise, coach, and develop accounting staff in a team-oriented culture
• Ensure compliance with corporate, tax, and regulatory requirements
• Identify and drive process improvements and automation within accounting workflows
