Overview

Procurement Specialist

As a procurement professional, you will navigate complex acquisition processes and deliver cost‑effective solutions to support defense missions. You will leverage your expertise in acquisition strategy, vendor negotiations, and compliance with DoD procurement policies to ensure mission success and optimize procurement decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute acquisition strategy.
• Conduct vendor negotiations and manage vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with DoD procurement regulations and audits.
• Perform cost estimation, financial analysis, and supply‑chain logistics.
• Create and maintain acquisition documentation and manage the contract lifecycle.
• Mentor junior procurement staff and lead cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications
  • Experience with federal procurement regulations and compliance audits.
  • Experience with cost estimation, financial analysis, and supply‑chain logistics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of contract lifecycle management and government contracting.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, including planning, organization, decision‑making, work delegation, and employee development.
  • Secret clearance.
  • HS diploma or GED.
Preferred Experience
  • 5+ years in program or acquisition management.
  • Full procurement lifecycle management including vendor negotiations and strategy development.
  • Advanced acquisition documentation, compliance audits, metrics, business process reengineering, business case analysis, electronic workflow, cost estimation, and strategic planning.
  • DFARS and FAR process knowledge for procurement and emerging procurement technologies and automation tools.
  • Integration of security, travel, and acquisition regulations into comprehensive project plans, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Market research, vendor agreement negotiation, mentorship of junior staff, and leadership of cross‑functional teams.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) – optional.
Compensation

Salary range: $52,900.00 – $ (annualized USD). Benefits include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work‑life programs, and dependent care. Eligibility for benefits requires full‑time status (at least 20 hours per week).
